God’s grace is matchless, reaching to any and all who need it, including those in spiritual bondage, as you’ll hear with this Global Story…
Welcome to “The Global Story,” a weekly glimpse into how God is at work through the global Body of Christ. This is Galen from Global Disciples.
“Praise God for His matchless grace!” exclaimed Brother Deva as he started his report. Deva leads a discipleship-mission training program in India. He was excited to report on a recent training and the outreach he and a group of newly-trained disciple-makers carried out in what he called “the new places.” These are village and communities which have never had an opportunity to hear the Good News of Jesus.
Deva wrote, “During the outreach one day, our team went to a village and found a woman possessed by a demon. She was screaming and behaving very strangely. Nobody dared to go near to her. As our team saw her, they went close to her and prayed for her in faith. And she fainted! After some time, she woke up and she was normal. All the village people around were amazed to see this miracle. The team shared the Gospel, and the woman who was delivered from the demon—she accepted Christ! And now she is going to a church nearby.”
He went on to say, “We are praying and hope to see a fellowship started in that place, so the other people who witnessed the miracle will also join us as Christians. Our team is doing follow-up now.” In fact, Deva and his team were able to plant three new fellowships of believers during their outreach, and they saw at least a dozen people come to faith in Jesus.
God’s grace is matchless. He works in mighty ways to set the captives free from spiritual bondage and sin. And He uses miracles to open the eyes and hearts of those waiting to hear the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ. As Global Disciples, we’re privileged to assist people like Brother Deva to train and send out disciple-makers to the least-reached people and communities in India and many other places. And to help multiply the Body of Christ around the world. It’s our passion, our vision, and how we obey Christ’s command to go and make disciples of all nations.
