    Why Least-reached

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
    - Jesus' words in Matthew 28:19-20

Planting New Churches in Least-reached Places

After Global Disciples trains new disciple-makers, what do they do? They move into outreach, where they begin to evangelize, preaching and teaching about Jesus. They pray for sick people. Jesus shows up and intervenes in people’s lives showing that He truly is alive! Then the disciple-maker calls these people to repentance and faith in Jesus.

As new believers open their hearts to Jesus and come to salvation, they want to gather for regular times of worship, prayer, and learning from Scripture. So, our disciple-makers form new churches with these new believers. Planting new churches is the third of Global Disciples’ ministry objectives along with training disciple-makers and making new disciples.

As a valued ministry partner, you help these trained, near-culture, disciple-makers to plant 5,000 churches among least-reached people. Every time a new church or fellowship is established, it marks a foothold for Jesus in a previously unreached community. And people continue coming to faith Christ.

This past year, our partner programs reported planting 4,246 new churches. What if we could plant 5,000 or more in a year? Planting a new church through Global Disciples takes an investment of only $2,000. That will produce eternal, spiritual fruit, year after year!

Thank you for making Global Disciples the church planting and disciple-making movement that God has called it to be.

–Jim Thompson, Sr. Vice President, Stewardship and Advancement
