    Why Least-reached

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
    - Jesus' words in Matthew 28:19-20

In the slums of Delhi, India, streets are narrow and buildings are jammed tightly together. In the jumbled maze, one larger doorway opens onto the unexpected—a church, led by Pastor Fazal.

It’s only one small room, about 10 feet by 20 feet, and set up with a few dozen chairs, a small wooden podium, and a microphone and amplifier up front. It’s always ready for 50 or so people to gather for worship.

That little room is also the hub for a Global Disciples Training program which equipped and sent out 90 church planters in a five-year period. And they planted over 200 prayer groups or house churches in this slum!

Most people living in the area are Hindus who have invited the spirits of various gods into their lives and as a result many are sick or incapacitated in some way. As the church planters visit families and pray for them in the name of Jesus, many are healed or set free!

They hear the Good News of Jesus, are taught from the Bible, and whole families are coming to faith in Jesus Christ—rapidly multiplying the house churches.

Now their six-month, full-time training program is totally sustained by local resources. Fazal said, “When I heard that Global Disciples’ strategy was to assist with 45% of the training costs the first year, then 30% the second year and only 15% the third year, I assumed we would just do the training for a year or two.

“But God has been so faithful and the training so powerful in the lives of our people, we had to keep training and sending out workers. The need is so great—and the results are more than we ever imagined!”
