    Why Least-reached

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
    - Jesus' words in Matthew 28:19-20

How Do You Want to be Remembered?

Is making or updating your will toward the end of your to-do list? You’re not alone. According to Caring.com’s 2024 Wills and Estate Planning Survey, only 32% of Americans have a will in place.

Creating a will is one of the most important things you can do to bless your loved ones. It’s a meaningful way to communicate what’s most important to you, elevating it to an act of worship that honors the Lord.

Getting started is usually the hardest part, so here are some ideas to build on:

Step one: Pray. “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans” (Proverbs 16:3).

Step two: Answer the following questions to guide the practical decisions you’ll outline in your will.

  • How do you want to be remembered? The answer doesn’t have to be complicated. Pick three attributes and go from there.
  • What are the most important lessons you’ve learned? Your wisdom is forged in the experiences that have shaped you. Sharing what you’ve learned will inspire future generations.
  • What values do you want to pass on? Document the principles that guide your decisions. This is a beautiful part of your legacy.
  • What stories do you want to share? Write down how you came to faith in Christ and how God has worked in your life. Include memorable events, special occasions, family history, and funny anecdotes.
  • What people and organizations embody the values you’ve now identified? This list is a natural place to find your executor, guardian of your children, and beneficiaries of your estate, including ministries that matter to you such as Global Disciples.
