Aha! Expanding Your Worldview

Aha! That moment of sudden realization, inspiration, and comprehension. When you hear or see or read something, it clicks in your brain or your heart and you “get it”! A whole new possibility or passion or potential unfolds for you.

As Global Disciples, we are eager to bring some Aha! moments into your life.

Aha! Now I see what God is doing in our world!

Aha! So that’s what multiplying disciples looks like!

Aha! Now I get it—we can reach the least-reached!

Aha! Now I understand how I can help!

With these and many other Aha! moments, we want to help you connect your heart with God’s heart for the least-reached people of the world.

Why? Because one third of the world has not yet heard about the Gospel and the hope of Jesus Christ. Perhaps that fact alone is an Aha! moment for you. Global Disciples exists to help reach that third who have never heard. And it’s only possible if Christians like you share in this conviction.

One way is to mobilize advocates throughout the U.S. who will share this conviction with others at a grassroots level. We see this now happening in more regions, and this Spring we held various events for approximately 3,000 people, sharing the vision and stories that reflect Global Disciples’ efforts to reach least-reached people.

Another way you can share this conviction is by hosting a conversation that connects others like you with God’s heart for the least-reached. While some on our staff love to present our mission, and to inform, inspire and involve people with Global Disciples, there is nothing quite like an authentic conversation among friends. An opportunity to sit with your circle, ask questions, share stories, and expand your worldview on work of God in reaching people.

We refer to this intentional conversation as a Gather ‘Round. We developed this tool so you can invite 12-15 friends or your small group and, in about 90 minutes, relate to

•   Each other through simple but profound questions about your life journeys

•   Our brothers and sisters who were born in a least-reached region

•   The spiritual battle over regions where Christian persecution is rampant

•   How you can make a difference from where you are.

You and your group will experience Aha! moments as you hear from several international leaders about what Christians face as they share the Good News of Jesus, live out the principles of spiritual warfare in Ephesians 6, and face the daunting challenge of those seeking to “Muslimize” many nations. It will open your eyes and your heart with a fresh look at your world and renew your passion for people in need of the Good News of Jesus.

You can find any Gather ‘Round events scheduled here. If you’re interested in hosting a ‘Gather Round, please contact our Global Disciples office and we’ll provide guidance to help you share more of life’s Aha! moments with your circle of influence.

In December 2019, I was given an amazing opportunity to travel to Uganda to capture stories for Global Disciples. I’m usually dreaming for clients at a computer, filming around the Lancaster County, or editing stories I have filmed. While my two young sons make sure I don’t stay too clean for too long, typically my life doesn’t involve as much red dust as Africa provides!
