    Why Least-reached

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
    - Jesus' words in Matthew 28:19-20

One of the things that drew Bill to his retirement community was its commitment to Christ-centered care from the moment he moved in until the moment he was called home to heaven. He gave annual gifts toward various projects but wanted to support the organization in an even more meaningful way.

A Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA) was the perfect fit. In fact, Bill called it “a triple blessing.”

Here’s what that triple blessing looks like:

  1. You make a gift to your favorite charity, a portion of which funds your CGA. You can give cash, real estate, publicly traded securities, or other assets.
  2. You receive a fixed payment for life—monthly, quarterly, or annually.
  3. Your gift supports the charity when they receive the remainder after your lifetime.

A CGA also helps you multiply the impact of your giving through its:

  • Certainty. Your giving is assured, as is the income you and up to one additional beneficiary receive. You also have the option to set up CGAs for loved ones to ensure they’re financially supported for the rest of their lives.
  • Practicality. CGAs are tax-smart. You’ll receive an immediate tax deduction for a portion of the amount you give to your CGA, plus a percentage of the fixed income is tax-free for the duration of your life expectancy. This can free you up to bless other ministries with your generosity.
  • Simplicity. CGAs are a single giving tool that gives you the opportunity to make a lasting difference both now and after your lifetime. What a wonderful legacy to pass on to your family and the organizations you love, like Global Disciples.

In 2 Corinthians 9:11-12, the Apostle Paul tells the Corinthian church about the multiplying effect of their generosity: “You will be enriched in every way for all generosity, which produces thanksgiving to God through us. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God” (CSB).

Your gift through a CGA does the same: supplying needs and bringing thanks to God.
