Seva is a church planter in a South Asian country where being a follower of Christ is a daily challenge, and the opposition is great. He was trained through a Global Disciples partner program, learning to make disciples and plant churches among those who have not yet heard the Good News of Jesus.

When Seva took the disciple-makers he trained on outreach, they came to a village where they met Kanish. Fourteen-year old Kanish was mute—he’d never spoken a word in his life!

His family had tried many doctors and treatments but without success. When Seva’s group met him, they had compassion on Kanish and prayed for him in the name of Jesus. Suddenly the boy started to speak—calling his mother for the first time in his life!

Everyone in the village was amazed and began to praise the Lord. Kanish and his family—six people in all—accepted Jesus as their Savior and Lord that same day.

As word of this miracle spread, more and more people came to hear the Gospel from Seva. The little church they planted began growing and soon 30 people were ready for baptism!

Jesus brings healing to people like Kanish, and He uses faithful disciples like Seva to share His Good News with those who have yet to hear it. Global Disciples assists by training men and women who will help their clusters of churches equip disciple-makers and send them out to the least-reached.
